PP or Polypropylene (PP) is a sturdy, quite solid transparent plastic with a reasonably glossy surface. PP has a good water and oxygen barrier but is less crack and fall resistant, especially at low temperatures. PP is often used for jars and closures. A big advantage of PP is its durability at high temperatures, up to max. 90°C. PP is well resistant to a broad spectrum of chemicals, acid and alkaline products, alcohol and essential oils.
